Jail Sentences

I was thinking, now we have the jail plugin sorted and working, we should decide on what sort of punishments should be handed out to people who are bad.

Here's what I have come up with:

• Minor Griefing (Destroying a few blocks on purpose, generally tring to annoy people): 24 hrs
• Major Griefing (Destroying lots of blocks, placement of water/lava all over): Permanent
• Abuse of Spawn Rights (Spawning hundreds of blocks for those without spawn rights to use): 24 hrs (Maybe demoted to builder?)
• Verbal abuse of other players (Swearing and generally being nasty, not-light hearted): 12 hrs
• Killing others when not in PVP areas (simple really): 12 hrs
• Annoying others by asking for items/lots of help (simple): 6 hrs

Of course this isn't final, i thought we needed to discuss and set up a system for it before the new server came up.

I think these rules are good but the sentence for verbal abuse should maybe be a bit worse

IMO I believe the spawn rights abuse is a bit harsh maybe a warning for first offense.

i think some are abit harsh i.e the forever one but others are good such as the spawn thing no reason for vip/mod/admins to spawn to much at once it gets annoying when they die or just dump in on the ground they should tell others that they accidently did it and dispose of it properly too often and then they should get sent to prison or if they dont tell anyone

also will we be able to have a pixel art storage room for wool and stuff i think it will be a good idea

when will the real sever be up and running? and how do i get build rights again for these temp severs?

real server will be up today
so no need to get permissions for the temp server as it is down and out lol

I don't think a pixel art storage room is a good idea, if a griefer gets their hands on all the wool, mayhem will ensue, as there will be wool placed everywhere.

And the permanent jail sentence will only be for extreme griefing, that causes everyone hassle.

well cant we password lock the storage items and maybe hide it within a section of wall or something i only say this because it would be easier and less hassle than asking for all the wool from vip mods and admins and that will contridict with what one on the jail time is about asking for items. else builders won't try to build pixel art or if they did it would take them about months to gather resources and build

I dont mind giving out wool for pixel art, I'll just make a chest and put a load of wool and stuff in there for the person who needs it, and ask that when theyre done, they leave the rest in the chest and/or destroy it

ok as long as people dont mind as i dont want to build that massvie mewtwo pixel art again when the server is up and there is a place to build such things
but 1st i will help with the building of spawn city as this is the most important thing to finish

I'm a big advocate of verbal abuse. I don't think there should be a punishment for swearing and nasty.
Now when it comes to unprovoked, insulting and whatnot verbal abuse, sure, maybe a punishment. But only if someone is being way too aggressive with it, and they don't stop after being warned.
