COMPETITION - Noob Town Sculpture

We all love Noob Town. That's a fact and you can't change it. We all started off there as kids and grew up there, before venturing off into the wilds and becoming men/women. We all tried our best to make it look as nice as possible, but yet there are still some boring areas.

There is one area in particular, in the first expansion area that seems the most boring, it's all open and flat, with nothing to look at but my castle in the background. It needs something cool there for all the newbies to look at. That's why this competition is here.

Competition Brief:
• The area you have to work with is 34 w x 20 d x 20 h, the front should be on the longest side
• You are allowed to dig down 5 blocks
• You must build either a sculpture or pixel art
• Houses are not acceptable, although you can build something that people can go inside
• You can use any blocks you wish, if you require a certain block for this competition, just ask.
• Be original
• You can collaborate on a project, you'll just have to split the prize 50/50

Here is the area where the winners sculpture will be displayed:

Prizes:
• 1st: A minecraft gift code (Compliments of our almighty leader NFF), $10,000 and your entry will be moved to the aforementioned area
• 2nd: $5,000
• 3rd: $2,500

VIP is NOT a prize, but you'll still gain recognition and a nice fat pay check if you win.

All entrants will receive $500 for entering. Yay.

Competition Rules:
• The judges decision is final
• All entries must be completed by the 31st of December
• Any entry that the judges feel is inappropriate will be excluded
• Bribes of any sort are not accepted, no matter how horny the judge may be
• Anyone caught griefing other people's entries will be brutally punished
• You show your creation to others at your own risk, if they steal your idea and win, it's your fault, not theirs

Judging Criteria:

• Use of space
• Aesthetics (How good it looks)
• Features (If any) (You will not lose out if you do not have features)
• Coolness
• Originality (How much of it was your idea)

All creations will be judged on the basic minecraft texture pack.

Hints & Tips:
• Be creative with your designs
• Don't show other entrants your designs, they might steal your ideas
• Try to use different blocks that blend and match together, clashing colours and textures looks rubbish
• If you're going to dig down, make sure the sides look nice

There you go, you've got your brief, you've got your goal, now go create something cool.

what does a 34x20x20 shape look like? do you mean 34x20? is it a triangle?

Already started my entry. I think I'm going to make a few and compare them.

Long time that I was not on the forum , sorry . Amazing nff ! that will get people really on the contest!!

Also , if anyone wants a 'statue" plot , like to know how big u can build , i have them , i only need to copy paste

sky my sculpture is behind my maze i couldn't work out how to send private messages so i thought i'd post it here

anyone can look at it if you copy it ill rip your balls off

I like heads project it's really good

sky just wandering if you know where my minigame/maze is? so you can judge my sculpture

You must send me the location of your sculpture for it to be a valid submission in the competition. Just because I have seen it, doesn't mean I automatically know where it is. PLEASE send the co-ordinates to me as your sculpture will have been built for nothing.

Its the 30th of December, 1 day before the deadline, and I've only received 2 PM's with the correct info to enter the competition.

Those who still wish to enter should send me the X, Y and Z co-ordinates of their project. If you do not send me these you will not receive the $500 you get for entering and all of your hard work will be wasted. PLEASE send me them soon, as entries close at midnight tomorrow (GMT).
